Thank you! And I've started 'Patriot'. Really like it. Took half an hour to get into the mix of spy and warped comedy but I can see I'll enjoy it. Was going to watch the second episode last night but I had two hours and went with another film. Maybe tonight.
I admire your horribleness. Being an utter emotional wuss is not something I'd wish on anybody. Tomorrow I'll be reviewing the new Superman if that's more in your line...*
Haha no…only thing on in cinema atbthe mo I would be considering would be weapons? I like all sorts ..foreign ones do seem to be better most of the time..and generally I like something visually beautiful and I usually go for dark humour but of the comic book kind of thing…not like superheroes but say..well…shape of water as u mentioned…or free fire..gun deal gone wrong thing…that was almost perfect for me
Yesterday I treated myself to a double bill of threads and the 1966 version…the war game lol…super super grim…everyone should be forced to watch that. Weirdest film I’ve seen in a while though was silent cecil b de Mille …ooh what was it called king of kings…it was like actually witnessing it through a Time Machine …which it kind of was…such an eerie quality to it. The napoleon one was great too.
Ah, Free Fire. A Ben Wheatley film? I haven't seen it but I liked his earlier films (hated hated hated The Trench 2). Napoleon? Ridley Scott's version? Found it boring and too historically inaccurate. Vanessa Kirby was the only reason to watch it. She was fantastic. I keep meaning to watch the Director's Cut but it's so long I don't know if I have the willpower.
Grater….it was worth reading it just for that genius expression!

* What is more in your line, movie-wise?

Silent Napoleon. Like Silent Salome silent metropolis etc. the Ridley Scott one got a bit silly with the ‘teenage’ napoleon love sick business
Also like free fire, things like baby driver or bad times at the el royale..basically Tarantino esque stuff I suppose
